1st July 2007 – CITY TIGERS CHARITY – NETBALL RALLY
All I can say is "What a fantastic day" The weather held and after all that torrential rain we had all week, it amazingly stayed dry with occasional sunny spells. The turn out was great originally there was 24 teams entered but on the day only 2 pulled out. At the end of the day we raised an amazing £1500 which will all be going to the Tigers in India (Please see www.tigerawareness.co.uk for more information). City Tigers teams played really well and the Chelmsford team got through to the Semi Finals against Essex Open, but sadly lost, it was a close match and the girls enjoyed every minute of it. In the end the Cup winners was Essex Open, and the Plate winners was Brookshaw. The feed back that I received from all the teams afterwards was how much they all enjoyed the day, so roll on next year!!
13th May 2007 – REDBRIDGE RALLY
Unfortunately the weather was awful, it rained non stop. The girls won all their games in the morning and got through to the semi’s and I think they were quite relieved not to make it through to the finals, so they didn’t have to play in the rain again.
6th May 2007 – COLCHESTER RALLY.
Another enjoyable day, where the Team got through to the semi finals, but lost by one goal – well played girls!
28th April 2007 - MICROTEC RALLY
2 City Tigers Teams entered this rally where the ‘A’ Team got into the finals, unfortunately we didn’t win but the weather was fantastic!
